‘We will move International Court if justice is denied to Dalit victims of Saharanpur’: Bhim Army

In order to seek justice for Dalit victims of caste clashes in Saharanpur, Bhim Army convened a press-conference at Press Club of India in national capital. The organisation said that they would move International Court if justice is denied to Dalits. They also lamented media for biased reporting.

Bhim Army said media always discriminates Dalits. And this is being done at the behest of PM and RSS.

The organisation further said that it doesn’t expect a judicious action from Yogi Adityanath regime as this government hasn’t shown any intention to deliver justice to Dalits so far.

Criticising both the Central and state governments, the organisation demanded stern action and immediate arrest of the perpetrators of anti-Dalit violence. They also sought adequate compensation for Dalit victims.

It can be noted here that fresh attacks have been launched against Dalits which left two persons dead and several others injured. Earlier, caste clashes broke out between the members of Thakur and Dalit communities over a procession to commemorate Maharana Pratap. Over 60 Dalit houses were torched and several people rendered homeless during the clash.
