Leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) always talk about their dream of “Hindi, Hindu and Hindustan”. But one of its parliamentarians fails to write Hindi correctly.
BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi, who has a number of educational degrees from top universities in her name, could not write correct Hindi in an event at Delhi.
According to reports, Lekhi had come for the inauguration of a healthy charioteer event organised by Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) on Wednesday where she could not write “Clean India, Healthy India” in the Hindi language. No wonder, she became a trending topic of discussion on social media.
The IGL programme was organised to make vehicles pollution-free and keep drivers healthy. When BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi was asked to write “Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat” in Hindi at the event, she wrote, “Sawachh Bharat, Sawasth Bharat” on the board.
Now, a photo of Lekhi’s incorrect Hindi is going viral on social media. She accepted her mistake and assured to improve her Hindi.
Ironically, Meenakshi Lekhi is one of the most educated leaders of BJP. She represents New Delhi constituency in the Lok Sabha. She had defeated Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken. She is the national spokesperson of BJP as well.
After completing her Graduation in Botany from Hindu College in Delhi, Meenakshi Lekhi joined Campus Law Centre-I of Delhi University for LLB. She enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi in 1990 and started practising at the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, and several other courts, tribunals and forums in different parts of the country.
